Amos Laar, Ph.D, is a Senior Lecturer of the University of Ghana with academic training in Nutrition, Public Health, and Bioethics. Dr. Laar has written and presented extensively on maternal and young child nutrition, nutrition-related non-communicable diseases (NR-NCDs), as well as Reproductive Health. He has served as a consultant to international organizations, national governments, and non-governmental organizations. He has also worked on several projects on HIV/AIDS in which he led such projects as the “Non-prescription Medication Use Project” (which assessed multiple non-prescription medications use among Ghanaian HIV-positive persons on antiretroviral therapy).
